On November 17, 2017 at 10.00 a solemn opening of the memorial plaque in honor of the famous Tatar singer, Honored Artist of Tatarstan Tagir Yakupov will take place. The memorial plaque is installed on the facade of the house where the artist lived at the address: Kazan, str. Karim Tinchurin 17.
State and public figures, artists and veterans of the Tatar philharmonic society, veterans of the city, artists and heads of the Tatar theaters, heads of creative unions of Tatarstan were invited to the opening ceremony of the plaque.
Tagir Yakupov worked as a lead singer in the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Tatarstan, State Philharmonic named after G. Tukay from 1964 to 1973, in the variety group of the Philharmonic from 1973 to 1982. He possessed a very rare by nature warm, restrained timbre. The public immediately fell in love with simple, very close to the heart of the songs by T. Yakupov, performed by him together with the choir of the ensemble, such as "Sixteen girls", "Mother tongue", "Milyausha", "Russian balalaika", the youth guest party from "Vecherny Posidelki”, "Zuleikha", " Young years lost on the path of life", "Nalasa", "The Song of the Siberian Tatars", "My Friends", etc. All these and many other songs were performed by T. Yakupov masterly, figuratively, deeply , sensually. They entered the "Golden Fund" of the Tatar musical art and are still kept in the archive of the radio "Tatarstan".
