7 November 2017, Tuesday

Today, on the day of the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution, on the stage of the Kazan Academic Russian Bolshoi Drama Theater named after V. I. Kachalov, the performance "The Flight" will be shown on the play of the same name by Mikhail Bulgakov. The production of Alexander Slavutsky is a phantasmagoria play where the tragedy merges with a farce, reality with mystical visions, the absurdity of circumstances with sincerity of feelings, love with longing for home.

The last months of the Civil War. In the chaos of battles and wanderings, occasional encounters and partings, the fates of people who have become exiles on their land are intertwined. The last battles for the Crimea, the flight abroad, the burdens of emigration in Constantinople, the search for happiness in Paris ... On this path, full of passion, the only choice between life and death is the only LOVE.

Written in 1928, but never set in the life of the author, the play "The Flight" to this day remains a reflection on people, the choice before whom  time sets  about the  fate of the country, the love to man,  homeland, his land.

The premiere of the performance took place on October 6.
