Representatives of PFD museums in Kazan discussed topical issues of museum activity

On October 25-26 an interregional scientific and practical seminar "Actual Issues of Museum Activity" was held in Kazan.

The forum, which brought together representatives of state and municipal museums from 14 regions of the Volga and the Urals, was held under the auspices of the Council of Museums of the Volga Federal District and the Association of Tatarstan Museums - public organization whose activities are an effective tool for inter-museum cooperation. The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan took over the functions of the organizer and the host.

The participants of the seminar discussed the most important tasks facing the museum community today in the field of preservation and tranfer of cultural and historical heritage, the introduction of new interactive technologies.

The program included the awarding of a number of museum staff of the National Museum of the Republic of Tatartsan, having been honored  for many years of work by the awards of the Cabinet of Ministers of RT, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Culture Department of the Kazan City Hall.

Within the framework of the seminar, a meeting of the Board and the general meeting of the Council of Museums of the Volga Federal District took place, at which organizational issues related to the activities of museums, the development of inter-museum connections, the admission of new members were settled. Today, the Museum of the Volga Federal District includes 51 museums, including individual members.

In a  solemn atmosphere  winners and award –holders  of the competition of professional skill among the museum workers of the Volga Federal District were celberted. Among the awardees are two representatives of the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan: director of th  E.A. Boratynsky I.V.  musuem Zavyalova (victory in the nomination "Dialogue with the heritage") and senior research fellow of the department of scientific and methodical work G.G. Nurutdinova (second place in the nomination "For the fidelity of the profession").

On summarizing the activities of the Council for 2016-2017  Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Council of Museums of the Volga Federal District, Director General of the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan G.R. Nazipova stressed the need to create inter-museum of tourism projects and routes.

The seminar continued with the round tables "New museums in the PFD: the creation of expositions" and "Museum projects for the family audience", which were held in the Museum of E.A. Boratynsky and the Literary and Memorial Museum of A.M. Gorky.

Presentation of the exhibition of prize-winning works of the photo contest "Ecology-Safety-Life" was held among PFD regions. Participants and guests of the seminar were offered a rich cultural program - sightseeing tours around Kazan, the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan and its branches.

Also,  a report,  re-election meeting  and a meeting of the Board of the Association of Museums of Tatarstan was carried out. Currently, it consists of 22 individual and 38 collective members. The activity of the Association was marked by a number of joint museum projects, among them - the action "Museum Spring of Tatarstan", Museum Regatta, fairs "Museum Bazaar", promotion in the media, social networks,

At the general meeting, the certificates of honorary members of the AMT to the veterans of the museum business S.V. Pisareva and M.G. Gazymov, rewarding with certificates of AMT of the director of the State Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve "Kazan Kremlin" Z.R. Valeeva and the director of the Leninogorsk Museum of Local Lore, N.R. Galiyeva were delivered.

During the seminar "Actual Issues of Museum Activity" it was noted that the Council of Museums of the Volga Federal District and the Association of Museums of Tatarstan are important and necessary venues for discussing the problems of the museum industry, sharing experiences, developing and implementing new projects and activities of museums.
