Center for Festival and Competition Programs "NA VYSOTE (AT THE HEIGHT)" invites choreographic collectives of the Republic of Tatarstan to take part in the Battle of Champions

Time: from February  22 to 25, 2018

"Battle of Champions" - a television contest, which takes place as part of the TV show "Star Dance" (season 3).

A selection of the best moments of performances by collectives and  handing  of awards at the bestowal ceremony will be widely covered by television and radio channels; the competition will be broadcast on-line on the Internet on the official portal of the contest. Fans can support loved ones by SMS voting.

Qualifying rounds of the contest will be held in 5 cities of Russia, including Kazan, and the winners and prize holders of the first stage (who took 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in their nominations) will compete in  final on the dance floor in Rostov- on-Don - the dancing capital of the South of Russia 2017.

Finalists of qualifying rounds will compete for titles:

"The best Russian Dance School of 2018"

"The best duet of Russia in  original genre of 2018"

"The best dancer in Russia in 2018 in  original genre."

In the final, one of the cities that scored the most points in terms of the sums of performances of the teams representing it, will receive the title: "The Dance Capital of Russia 2018".

The following nominations are presented in the competitive program: folk distinctive  dance, folk stylized dance, variety, ballroom dance, street show, modern choreography, oriental dance, story choreography.

To participate are invited: individual performers and creative teams from Russia. Age of participants is from 6 years and older.

The jury consists of the leading choreographers of Russia:

Karpenko Alexey (Moscow) - dancer, choreographer, producer of musicals "Cabaret", "I am Edmond Dantes" and "Once in Odessa". Leading choreographer of the TV show "DANCES AT TNT"

Zinkov Pavel (Moscow) - Head of the Department of Festival Programs "State Russian House of Folk Art"  after V.D. Polenov, graduated from the RATI-GITIS choreography department (directing choreography), worked in the state choir  after  Pyatnitsky, the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army  after  Alexandrov, State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble  after Igor Moiseyev.

Latifullin Tagir (Kazan) - People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, Associate Professor, Head of the Folk Dance Department of the Kazan State University of Culture and Arts

Sekerina Evgenia (St. Petersburg) - head of the school I LIKE THAT, choreographer of the team I LAIKE THAT

Borodin Roman (Moscow) - actor of the Ballet Moscow Theater, two-time winner of the National Theater Award "Golden Mask" for "Best Performance of Contemporary Dance" 2016-2017 as a member of the Ballet Moscow Ballet Company. Choreographer, teacher of modern dance techniques. Teacher of the foundations of the stage movement and stage combat. (Moscow)

Ivanova Alexandra (Volgograd) – pedagogue, choreographer. One of the bright bellydance dancers in Russia. Judge League of Oriental Dance Professionals. Multiple winner of Russian, international choreographic tournaments and TV projects

Scenic stage: the contest program will be held in the concert hall of the village "UNIVERSIADA".

Broadcasts: All the programs of the qualifying stage will be broadcast in the cities on local channels.

All programs of Volgograd, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Moscow will be broadcast on the Internet in the official group "VKontakte" "Star Dance. Battle of Champions" (vk.com/bitvachempionov).

All out-of-town participants of the project expect an extensive cultural and excursion program.

All participants of the competition get the opportunity to attend master classes with the participation of jury members, as well as invited choreographers.
