Tatarstan film "Prodigal Son" entered the short list of the film festival of the countries of the Arctic

The film "Prodigal Son" by young director Oksana Sinchugova entered the contest program of the First International Arctic Film Festival "Arctic open". This debut  play   work, where a student of the department of  directing non-feature film studio of Alexei Barykin tries himself as a screenwriter and director.

Roles in the film have been  performed by Alexander Kuptsov - Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, Elena Kalaganova - Honored Artist of the Republic of Tajikistan, Regina Sattarova - actress, theater director, Razalia Gizyatullina - actress, teacher.

The competition program of the festival, which will be held in Arkhangelsk on December 7 - 9, 2017, will showcase the best examples of modern cinema in the Arctic countries and minor indigenous peoples of the North. Within the framework of the festival  creative workshops, seminars, panel discussions on the development and commercialization of regional cinema with the participation of recognized figures of Russian and foreign cinema will be held.

Reference: the film "The Prodigal Son" was awarded with a diploma "For  development of the traditions of regional cinema" of the XIX All-Russian Shukshinsky Film Festival, won the nomination "The Best Short National Film" of the 13th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival.
