From November 5 to 8, 2017, the St. Petersburg State Musical Theater "Zazerlaie" will hold its anniversary tours on the stage of the Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theater named after Musa Jalil.
The theater "Zazerkalie" will show its best performances to the audience of the capital of Tatarstan on the eve of its thirtieth anniversary, which will be celebrated in December 2017.
Anniversary tour on November 5 opens the "Children's Album" for children and their parents on the prose by V. Nabokov, L. Tolstoy, N. Garin-Mikhailovsky, music by P.I. Tchaikovsky in the orchestration by Leonid Desyatnikov. This legendary performance, on which grew more than one generation of Petersburgers, can be called a visiting card of the theater "Zazerkalie". On the same day, adult viewers will see a real masterpiece, an opera rarity: almost never set in Russia, but the world famous "Cinderella" by G. Rossini - a performance awarded two "Golden Masks" ("Best Performance" and "The Best Performance of a Conductor" opera "). In the program of tours also "La Boheme" by G. Puccini, "Snegurochka" by N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov, "Iolanta" by P.I. Tchaikovsky, "So do all" by V.A. Mozart - performances, especially appreciated by the Petersburg public and awarded with the Golden Mask and Golden Sofit awards.
The theater "Zazerkalie", to this day is being directed by its creators - People's Artists of Russia, art director Alexander Petrov and chief conductor Pavel Bubelnikov, is widely known in the country and abroad, we love spectators of all ages. Without any stretching, "Zazerkalie" can be called one of the main centers of musical and theatrical culture in St. Petersburg. The universally recognized and seldom-performing classics adjoins here with the works of contemporary authors, created specifically for the "Zazerkalie". The theater was awarded three times by the St. Petersburg Government prize, repeatedly - the National Theater Award "Golden Mask" and the Higher Theater Award of St. Petersburg "Golden Sofit", as well as many other theatrical awards.
In 2013 and 2016, large-scale tours of "Zazerkalie" took place in Moscow on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater. All the performances were sold out and became an outstanding event in a cultural life of Moscow, having captured both theatrical public and the most authoritative critics: “Having created in 1987, Zazerkalie", director Alexander Petrov and conductor Pavel Bubelnikov made a gift to the whole city on the Neva. Since that time, the cultural identity of small Petersburgers has been shaped in their performances. Surprisingly, there is nothing to compare "Zazerkalie" on the theater map of Russia. A serious musical theater that guarantees the highest quality of vocals and orchestra, opening new, poorly known or never performed scores in Russia, "Through the Looking Glass" at the same time gives joy to family viewing, exquisite and deep directing, lightness and naturalness of dramatic play, virtuosity of plastics "(Alyona Karas, Robinson's Aria // Rossiyskaya Gazeta, September 9, 9).
The performances that the theater "Zazerkalie" will present in the capital of Tatarstan, will be a confirmation of the status of the "cultural capital" in St. Petersburg and will surely provoke the hot response of Kazan spectators.
The tour is supported by the Committee for Culture of St. Petersburg.
