In the Republic of Komi, the V Interregional Open Contest of Children's and Youth Art "The World in which We Live" has been launched.
The purpose of the creative review is to support young talents in the field of fine arts and decorative and applied creativity, to identify the most gifted young artists, masters of decorative and applied art.
Participation in it can take pupils of children's art schools, schools of art crafts, art departments of children's art schools and art gymnasiums aged 11 to 17 years.
The competition is held for the following age groups and nominations:
I group - 11-12 years: Nominations: composition, sculpture;
II group-13-14 years: Nominations: drawing (pencil), painting (watercolor), painting (gouache), composition, sculpture, arts and crafts, graphic design (poster);
III group - 15-17 years: Nominations: drawing (pencil), painting (watercolor), painting (gouache), composition, sculpture, arts and crafts, graphic design (poster);
IV group - students of 1-2 courses of art departments of professional educational organizations: Nominations: drawing (pencil), painting (watercolor), painting (gouache), arts and crafts, graphic design (poster).
The criteria for evaluating the entries include the creative individuality and skill of the contestant, the knowledge of the fundamentals of the composition, the mastery of the technique in which the work is done, the originality of the disclosure of the topic, the artistic taste and vision of the perspective, the color solution.
An obligatory condition for participation in the competition is payment of the organizational fee - 700 rubles.

The founders of the competition are the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Archives of the Republic of Komi and the administration of the MO "Syktyvkar". The main organizers of the contest are the College of Arts of the Republic of Komi and the School of Arts in Syktyvkar.
