Rustam Minnikhanov in Tashkent met with Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan and attended a concert of masters of arts by the Republic of Tatarstan

Within the framework of the working visit to Tashkent, the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, visited a concert of masters of arts  by  the Republic of Tatarstan, which took place on the stage of the State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Opera and Ballet  named after  Alisher Navoi.

Before the event, Rustam Minnikhanov met with  Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Sayfullaev. The President of Tatarstan expressed gratitude for  assistance in organizing a concert and the active support of representatives of the local Tatar community. During the conversation, the sides discussed the possibility of further cultural parties  between Tatarstan and Uzbekistan, the presidential press service reported.

Welcoming the guests in a hall, Rustam Minnikhanov marked  that he is very happy to be on a beautiful, hospitable land of Uzbekistan. "We have  met here as the closest people," said the President of the Republic of Tatarstan. - Today is our culture day, tomorrow is the day of economy and business. It is worth noting that the leaders of our countries, the Russian Federation and Uzbekistan pay special attention to the development of regional cooperation. "

Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Sayfullaev in his turn stressed that Uzbekistan and Tatarstan are linked by a long-standing friendship. "Our good close friends from Tatarstan came to us today. We have a lot in common: religion, culture and traditions. We are very pleased to be present at this solemn event, "the minister added.
