September 22 at the creative laboratory "Ugol (Corner)" award ceremony of the winners of the II regional competition of plays PRO / MOVEMENT 2017 will take place

The competition was held from May 20 to August 20, 2017, its participants were the authors living in the Republic of Tatarstan. In total, the jury evaluated 59 works.

The selection committee included:

Niyaz Iglamov,  chief  of the literary-dramaturgical part of the Tatar State Academic Theatre named after G. Kamal, a theater critic (Kazan);

Elena Kovalskaya, theater critic, art director of the Theater Center named after Vs. Meyerhold, one of the former leaders of the festival of young dramaturgy "Lyubimovka", an expert and a jury member of the festival "Golden Mask" (Moscow);

Alexei Kiselev, theater critic, theater critic, columnist for Afisha magazine. Member of the expert council of the festival "Golden Mask" (Moscow). At the awards ceremony, all participants will be awarded diplomas, and the authors, who are included in the shortlist of the contest, will be awarded cash prizes.

Also, all short-list plays of the contest pass to the next stage - readings, which will be held on October 27, 28 and 29, 2017 in the creative laboratory "Ugol".

The competition was initiated by the Center for Modern Drama and Directing "Center. Perviy", it was implemented with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Fund for Support of Modern Art "Zhivoy Gorod"  with the participation of the Union of Theater Workers of the Republic of Tatarstan, TSATG after G. Kamal and Kazan Academic Russian Big Drama Theatre  after  V.I. Kachalov.

The purposes of the center: development of modern dramaturgy of Tatarstan; integration of Tatarstan authors into the Russian and international literary and theatrical process; the creation of a repertoire of contemporary plays.
