This is the first global film festival, which simultaneously takes place in 250 cities around the world and each year brings together over 100,000 short-meter fans to participate in interactive voting for the best film. In the cinema "Mir" the film show starts on September 28. Under the bright slogan "One week. One world. One festival "shows will be held simultaneously in Moscow and New York, St. Petersburg and Madrid, Yaroslavl and Prague, Los Angeles and many other cities.

This year the festival celebrates its 20th anniversary. The first time in the festival there  are films from Georgia - "8 minutes" and Latvia - "Forward!".

Experimental animation "In a nutshell" by Swiss director Fabio Fridley won the main prize at the festival in Aspen (USA) and was a participant in the competitive program of the famous animation festival in Annecy. The film "Hope dies last" from the UK is based on the life story of Josef Pachinsky, a Polish political prisoner, who during the Second World War became a personal hairdresser of the main camp commandant in Auschwitz. The Spanish thriller "Beyond the Side" won a spectator prize at the festival of horror and fantasy films in San Sebastian.

At the Mir cinema, the program will last until October 8, 2017.
