"The Kvartirnik (Apartment) at the Brenings"

The State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan continues the cycle of musical and poetic meetings in a format of "kvartirnik" at the address: Kazan, ul. Karl Marx, 62. Our “kvartirniks” will be held in the atmosphere of a unique collection of memorial items of the Brenings family - pharmacists, owners of the famous Kazan pharmacy, photographers, musicians.

Kvartirnik  is a concert held in a normal apartment, at home, where an informal atmosphere is created, blurring the boundaries between a speaker and  a viewer. As a rule, it is played by a small number of musicians with acoustic instruments. There are also poetry “krvartirniks”.

The first "Kvartirnik at the Brenings" was held on August 24, 2017.  It was dedicated to the Day of the City and the Republic. "On a visit" at the Brenings was the performer of the author's song Andrey Zefirov. On September 14, 2017, Alik Yakubovich, a poet and photographer from Nizhny Novgorod, visited the "Kvartirnik at Brenings".

This time " on a visit" at the Brenings is a poet, journalist, scientist, and scriptwriter Airat Bik-Bulatov. Candidate of Philology, a member of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Union of Journalism of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian Federation, a winner of the Crystal Pen Award, the author of poetry collections and scientific monographs, Airat Bik-Bulatov has organized festivals and a theater of poetry in different years, leading literary studios. Performances based on the poems by Ayrat Bik-Bulatov were staged in Belgrade, Saratov, Naberezhnye Chelny and Saransk. His works were represented in Paris, Prague, the cities of Serbia, Moscow, St. Petersburg and other Russian cities.

The premiere of Ayrat Bik-Bulatov's program "October Eve" will take place in the "Brigade's Quarter". New poems will be performed in  author's performance.

A special guest of the evening is composer and performer Rushania Nizamutdinova. The music of the composer is performed at international festivals in Europe and Russia. During the evening, author’s compositions will be performed.
