October 8 in Kazan "School of Theater Blogger" opens

The purpose of the pilot project is to help viewers in the regions understand modern theater in its fullness and diversity, and to teach basic skills in writing a theatrical review. The ideological and practical side of the project is assumed by the public association "Association of Theater Critics" and the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation, organizational - producer Evgeny Shermenev. The school will be opened on the basis and with the support of the Tatar State Academic Theater after G. Kamal. The Information Agency "Tatar-inform" acts as a general information partner of the project in Kazan.

The project is aimed at working with spectators  in Russian regions who want to write about the theater in a blog or simply better understand the performances they saw. Participation of local theater journalists is not ruled out either. The emergence of such schools in regional theaters will also contribute to the formation of an enlightened audience, capable of perceiving not only a commercial but also a serious repertoire.

The Association of Theater Critics (ATC) will send critics not only to Kazan, but also to other regions of Russia. They will hold seminar sessions with local bloggers, webinars and will monitor the performance  of assignments throughout the duration of the project. A well-known theater critic, "Afisha" columnist Alexei Kiselev (Moscow) will teach theater bloggers in Kazan.

In total, it is planned to hold 4 seminars in each of the cities. The participants together will visit one of the performances of the Tatar State Academic Theater after  G. Kamal and write about it. In December, the results of the project will be summed up. In between the seminars, the teacher's communication with the project participants will be constantly maintained online with the help of webinars and social networking.

The project "School of  Theatrical Blogger" is a pilot project and is designed only for three months. If the experience is recognized as successful, then it will continue.
