Winners of IX Kazan International Festival of Amateur Youth and Children's Cinema Announced

From September 4 to 6, the IX Kazan International Festival of Amateur Youth and Children's Cinema was held in the capital of Tatarstan, which takes place   annually in the framework of the Kazan International Muslim Film Festival.

The festival received more than 350 applications with extensive geography - Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Ekaterinburg, Khakassia, Crimea, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Iraq, Hungary, Italy.

The film-opening was a film  by  young director Xenia Baskakova "Bird".

The pride of the festival is a rich educational program, within the framework of which master classes were held  by:  film critic Anatoly Sinitsyn, adviser to the editor-in-chief of Russia Today television channel Aleksey Solomatin, Tatarstan director Salavat Yuzeyev. The festival and guests of the 13th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival visited the festival.

At the closing ceremony of the IX Kazan International Festival of Amateur Youth and Children's Cinema, awards and special prizes were awarded to the winners from the partners of the film festival.

Student of the Faculty of Cinematography and Television Vlad Krylov for the film "Heavenly" received a special prize from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan  from the hands of RT Deputy Minister Guzel Sharipova.

Also, Letters of gratitude  have been  granted  from the Culture Ministry  for the great contribution to the development of the cinema culture among children and young people to  Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan,  chairman of the festival jury Rimma Ratnikova and  Honored art worker of the Republic of Tatarstan Nikolai Morozov for his contribution to the development of amateur cinema in the republic.

Special prize of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan - Cup - was awarded to the school studio "Intelvideo" (Moscow).

Special prize of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan - TV - was given to the creative group from Orenburg, Yulia Prutova and Igor Ivanov.
