Sabantui at the Karelian village celebrated

Last weekend, the Tatar festival "Sabantui gathers friends" was held at  the sports and leisure center of the village of Kroshnozero in the Pryazha National District.

Organizers introduced the atmosphere of Tatar originality, culture and way of life into the Karelian village. Residents and guests were invited to participate in joke sports games: running in bags, running with buckets on the rocker, killing pots with blindfolds, running with a spoon with an egg, contest "Cut yourself a gift". They could taste dishes of Tatar cuisine, take part in master classes and buy souvenirs.

The organizers of the event were the Local Public Organization of Pryazha National Municipal Support District for Youth and Indigenous Peoples "Nuorus Vagi" (chairman - Gennady Lukin), Karelian regional public organization "Society of Tatar Culture" Chulpan "(chairman of the council - Farida Fadeeva). The events took place within the framework of projects supported by the Ministry of the Republic of Karelia on national policy issues.
