"History of the Tatar Theater in Poster Art"

The book album "The History of the Tatar Theater in Poster Art" was published, timed to the 110th anniversary of the creation of the Tatar Theater (in Russian, Tatar, English, 352 pages). The author of the project is Sultanova Rauza Rifkatovna, candidate of art criticism, head of Department of Fine Arts, Decorative and Applied Arts  named after   G. Ibrahimov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, a laureate of the Republican Prize named after B. Urmanche. Design by R.Musabirova.

This is the first illustrated edition that tells the history of the Tatar theater in the language of poster art. Turning over the book, you can see how the culture of the theater changed, along with the political system, how the alphabet (Arabic script, Latin, Cyrillic alphabet) changed, the style, design of the posters and their verbal filling. It includes 320 billings  and posters, programs announcing premiere productions, benefit performances, guest performances in the republic (Buinsk, Bugulma, etc.), in the cities of Russia (Ufa, Orenburg, Moscow, St. Petersburg), Central Asia (Tashkent, Kustanai, etc.), abroad (Germany, Turkey, China, etc.) - from various funds: TSAT named after G. Kamal, Scientific library    after N. I. Lobachevsky Kazan / Privolzhskogo / federal university,  Institute of language and literature named after  G. Ibrahimov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan,   S. Saidashev’s musuem. They first become available to the general public.

Part of the billings  and posters were exhibited at  the State Central Theater Museum after  A.A. Bakhrushin from January 13 to February 12, 2017 during the tour of TSAT  after  G. Kamala  to Moscow. The exhibition aroused great interest among the professional community and residents of the capital.

The album includes bills by  the first theater troupes / Sayyar, Nur /, the Tatar Art Worker Theater (Esche), the collective farm / sovkhoz / mobile / theater, the Tatar State Technical University after  G. Kamal, covering the period from the beginning of the XX century to the present day. The catalog is accompanied by the author's article (in 3 languages) with an analysis of the content, stylistics, and art features of billboards at different stages of the development of the Tatar theater - in fact, this is the first study on the history of the Tatar theater poster art, which has the richest traditions in the book culture of the Tatar people.

One of the main tasks of the book is to represent the Republic of Tatarstan as the largest cultural center of Russia with a rich heritage. Today, the Republic of Tatarstan is actively developing theatrical bill  and  placard,  gives them increasingly important role as an important part of culture.

The book was published with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan for the filling   funds of republican and municipal libraries of the republic.
