The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan expressed deep condolences to the family, friends and colleagues at the death of the doctor of architecture, professor KSACU, chief researcher of the Academy of Sciences Institute of History, Honored Scientist of the Republic of Tatarstan Niyaz Khadzhievich  Khalitov and shares the bitterness of irreplaceable loss.

Reference: Khalitov Niyaz Khadzhievich was born in 1950. He held the post of chief researcher at the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan.

He - the author of theses "Tatar national traditions in architecture Kazan the second half of XVIII - XX centuries" and "Muslim religious architecture of the Volga-Kama region from the IX to the beginning of the XX century (Genesis, phases of historical development patterns and type-forming)." Dozen of monographs, hundreds of scientific and popular scientific articles in various publications, as well as projects and conceptual developments.

Niyaz Halitov - participant of the international symposium on Islamic art and architecture in Cairo (Egypt), Amman (Jordan), Damascus (Syria), Istanbul (Turkey), Baku (Azerbaijan), Almaty (Kazakhstan) and others.

Honorary and academic titles: Doctor of Architecture, Honored Scientist of the Republic of Tatarstan.
