National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan will take part in the book festival "Red Square"

The annual Book Festival will be held in the center of Moscow from June  3 to 6,  2017 and will be timed to coincide with the birthday of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin and the Day of the Russian Language

From  June 3 to 6,  2017 in Moscow, the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan will take part in an  annual book festival "Red Square" organized by the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Government of Moscow and the Russian Book Union.

The National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan has traditionally been an active participant in such a large-scale event. This time, the festival will feature current and interesting local lore books by Kazan publishers that will introduce the reader to the surprisingly diverse and distinctive literature and publishing activities of the republic.

In a  cultural part of the program on June 3, from 18:00 to 18:55 in the Lectures of the "Regions of Russia" site, Renat Ibragimov, People's Artist of Russia and Tatarstan, will represent the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan. During the creative evening "By the sea of ​​life" he presents his book "Favorites", which already had time to gain great popularity. The format of the evening involves not only the artist's reflections on the past and reading excerpts from the book, but also a solo performance.

This yer,   a  special attention will be paid to the life and creativity of Russian authors, whose anniversaries are celebrated in 2017.

The festival runs on June 3 and 4 from 10:00 to 23:00, on June 5 and 6 from 10:00 to 22:00.
