Monthly plan for International Mother Languages ​​Day presented

On January 25, a press conference was held at the Tatar-inform news agency dedicated to the month of the International Day of Native Languages, as part of the Year of Native Languages ​​and National Unity in 2021 in the Republic of Tatarstan.

Within the framework of the press conference, the plan of the month of the International Day of Mother Languages ​​was presented. 2021 in the Republic of Tatarstan has been declared the Year of Native Languages ​​and National Unity. February 21 is traditionally celebrated as the International Day of Mother Languages. Within the framework of this holiday, a series of events is planned in municipal districts, state cultural institutions and educational organizations of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The event was attended  Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Damir Natfullin, Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars Danis Shakirov, Head of the Executive Committee of the Council of the Assembly of Peoples of the Republic of Tatarstan Konstantin Yakovlev, Director of the House of Friendship of the Peoples of Tatarstan Irek Sharipov, Head of the Department of National Education Lilia Akhmetzyanova and Director of the Language Institute, literature and art. G. Ibragimov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan Kim Minnulin.

The Republic of Tatarstan also celebrates the International Day of the Mother Language every year. In accordance with the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated December 23, 2015 No. 2648-r on the approval of the action plan for  implementation of the Strategy of the State National Policy of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2025, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, approved an action plan for in 2021 in the Republic of Tatarstan of the International Day of the Mother Language.

 In 2021, the International Day of the Native Language is celebrated in the republic within the framework of the Year of Native Languages ​​and National Unity, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan dated 05.10.2020 No. UP-653.

The Action Plan for the International Day of the Mother Language in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2021 includes 31 events, of which 10 are held by cultural institutions - museums, libraries, cinemas.

The 17th Republican competition of a young artist "I paint like Shishkin" on the theme "Warmth of a native home" starts today, which this year is dedicated to the Year of native languages ​​and national unity. The organizer of the Competition is the State Budgetary Institution of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan "Yelabuga State Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve". Students of children's art schools, studios and art schools of the Republic of Tatarstan at the age of 7 to 16 can participate in the Competition. Contest entries are accepted from January 25 to April 12, 2021.

Also during the month will take place:

The   All-Russian competition of reciters "We speak different languages, we communicate in the language of friendship" at the Abdulla Alisha Museum (Bolgar), 

- "German lessons" - a joint program of the German House in Kazan and the State Museum of Fine Arts,

- an interactive educational excursion "Sviyazhsky archaeological dictionary" in the Museum-reserve "Island - city of Sviyazhsk",

- book - illustrative exhibitions for the International Day of the Mother Language in state and municipal libraries of the Republic of Tatarstan,

- thematic screenings for the International Mother Language Day in all municipal cinemas and cinemas of the republic.

We  would like to pay special attention to the Panorama Film Festival of the Peoples of the Republic of Tatarstan, which will be held for the first time in the republic. The organizers of the festival are the Assembly of the Peoples of Tatarstan together with the House of Friendship of the Peoples of Tatarstan and Tatarkino. 

The film festival will be held throughout the year - from February 21 to December 12. The opening will take place on the International Day of the Mother Language, the closing ceremony on the Constitution Day of the Russian Federation. Throughout the year, at the site of the Mir cinema, as well as in cities with representations of the Assembly of the Peoples of Tatarstan (Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Mendeleevsk, Tetyushi, Nurlat, Leninogorsk, Aznakaevo), films of the peoples living in Tatarstan will be screened. 

The opening will take place on February 21 at the Mir cinema site.
