A meeting of the final board of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan was held in Kazan with the participation of President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counselor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky, Executive Secretary of the Russian Federation Commission for UNESCO, Ambassador at Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Grigory Ordzhonikidze Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova.

The meeting summed up the activities of the department for 2018 and discussed the participation of the republic in federal programs, the national project "Culture" and the strategy for the development of this sphere in the republic.

Vladimir Medinsky called Tatarstan one of the most modern regions of Russia. "The Republic successfully demonstrates how to combine innovation, economic development and careful attitude to culture and its traditions,"  Head of the Ministry of Culture of Russia emphasized.

Vladimir Medinsky spoke about the federal program of co-financing  construction, reconstruction and equipment of rural houses of culture. “We have  created a federal program. With a total amount of 4.6 billion, we will co-finance the construction of rural recreation centers. Of course, first of all we take those regions where things are quite bad with this. But this program was born, the very idea was born here, in Tatarstan, at the end of 2012, on your initiative. I think the whole country should be grateful to you for that, ”said Vladimir Medinsky.

“At the end of 2012, when I first flew to Tatarstan, Rustam Nurgalievich took me to the village and showed me a new small House of Culture, just built. It was combined: on the one hand - the House of Culture, on the other - the first-aid station. It is convenient, cozy and inexpensive, ” head of the federal agency noted.

Speaking about the national project “Culture”, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova shared her vision of the essence of the project and the mission of culture in general.

“In our understanding, the goal of the national project“ Culture ”is to create conditions for preserving national identity, while combining all its aspects and facets, said the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan. - At the forefront is the definition of the role and mission of culture as one of the key institutions for the development of society, and perhaps even  preservation of a single state. A breakthrough should happen, first of all, not in  infrastructure, but in  public consciousness ”.

“At the same time, at the regional level, the national project is a set of tools for building a full-fledged and efficient cultural ecosystem,” said Irada Ayupova. “But this toolkit can be effectively applied only when each region formulates its own vision, determines long-term priorities for  development of the industry.”
