Soloists of the M.Jalil Tatar State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre Kristina Andreeva and Oleg Ivenko have become the winners of the International Ballet Competition "Grand Prix of Siberia" in Krasnoyarsk. The contest was held as part of the III International Forum "Ballet of XXI Century" from October 5 to 9, 2014, Kristina Andreeva has been awarded the Grand Prix competition, Oleg Ivenko - first prize.
Participants of ballet competition became 50 dancers from 7 countries. Participants were evaluated by highly professional jury headed by the outstanding choreographer, People's Artist of the USSR Yuri Grigorovich. In total, the jury consisted of 13 people, including artistic director of the theater "Russian Ballet" Vyacheslav Gordeev, artistic director of the Krasnoyarsk Ballet Sergei Bobrov, rector of the Rome Academy of Dance Margherita Parrilla, director of the Tallinn Ballet School Kyrb Kaye, director of the ballet troupe of the theater in Donetsk and Ulan-Ude Vadim Pisarev and Morihiro Iwata and others. During the forum, various events - competitive performances, the opening of museum exhibitions, round tables, meetings, lectures and plenary meeting of the General Assembly of the International Federation of ballet competitions and the premiere of the ballet "Swan Lake" (choreographer Sergei Bobrov) were held.
The program of the competition performances by Kazan dancers entered the pas de deux from the ballet "Don Quixote", "Harlequinade" and "Flames of Paris", as well as items of contemporary choreography - "No, I do not regret" to the music of Charles Dumont (performed by Kristina Andreeva, choreography by Nina Madan) and "I'm sorry" to the music of Zemfira Ramazanova (performed by Oleg Ivenko; choreography Gleb Kolmogorov).
The Forum has concluded by a gala concert with participation of the winners and ballet stars, the press service of the theater informs.
