Irada Ayupova: “Practically everyone who is on our stage went through the Vagapovsky festival”

A press conference was held at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan dedicated to the XV Vagapovsky festival.

The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova,  Chairman of the State Council Committee on Education, Culture, Science and National Affairs Razil Valeev,  Director of the Vagapov Foundation Rifat Fattakhov,  People’s Artist of Russia and Tatarstan Zilia Sungatullina and  Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Asaev took part in it.

 “We have talents, they are present in  any nation, any time, on any land, but to consider this talent and give it a start into the future, we need professionals. And this festival throughout the entire period of its existence has opened and brought on the stage so many talented guys. I can say that almost everyone on our stage went through the Vagapovsky festival. It is very important that our talents have such an opportunity, ”said Irada Ayupova.

Director of the Vagapov Foundation thanked the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan  for her  help and constant participation in the work of the festival movement. According to him, the success of the festival directly depends on this.

“A nation cannot be without traditions, without faith, without proverbs. But can a nation be without music and songs? For this Vagapovsky festival exists. We must preserve the songs and melodies of the Tatar people, ”said Razil Valeyev.

Zilya Sungatullina supported her colleague. People's Artist added that the festival helps to preserve songs of 100 years old, songs with history.

The competition is held in the following nominations: “solo vocals” (chamber-concert / academic singing; folk singing; pop singing), “vocal ensemble”. As Rifat Fattakhov noted, this year the competition was supplemented with a new nomination “instrumental performance” (musician).

During its existence, the festival went beyond the borders of Tatarstan and Russia. It was received in 11 countries of the world and in 49 regions of Russia. The solemn gala concert of the Vagapovsky festival will be held on May 15 at the State  Grand Concert Hall   after S.Saydashev.

We remind  the festival is held with the support of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The festival is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Public Fund for the Tatar Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan  after  Rashit Vagapov.
