Kazan is among the best theater cities in the country

In the Year of Theater in Russia, the analytical agency TourStat made a rating of Russian cities with the best and most popular theaters among citizens and tourists. The analysis has been  made on the basis of data on attendance of theaters and reviews on the Internet. As a result, the capital of Tatarstan ranked 4th in the rating, giving way to Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg.

According to experts, the most popular venues among citizens and tourists are: Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theater  after  Musa Jalil, Tatar State Academic Theater after  Galiasgara Kamal, Kazan Academic Russian Bolshoi Drama Theaternamed after  V.I. Kachalov, Kazan Young People’s Theater, Ekiyat Tatar State Puppet Theater, Youth Theater   on the  Bulak and others.

We remind  that 2018 was declared the Year of Theater in the Russian Federation. According to TourStat, in 2019, attendance at theaters in Russia will grow by 7% to 43 million spectators compared to 40 million in 2018.
