26 September 2018, Wednesday

On September 28, at 14:00, the ceremony of handing over the works by the recognized authors of calligraphy Abdul Rashid Batta (Pakistan), Jamal al-Rabea and Mohammed al-Kebasi (Saudi Arabia) to the Museum of the Reserve "Kazan Kremlin" will take place at the Museum of Islamic Culture.

This event is timed to the closing of the exhibition "Calligraphy of the East in the Heart of Kazan". We remind that the calligraphic works that caused great interest in festivals and exhibitions in the UK, the US, Singapore, Iran, China and more than 20 other countries around the world was exhibited at the Museum of Islamic Culture from the beginning of September 2018.

On the work by Rashid Butt, which he will present as a gift to the Museum-Reserve, a verbal description of the Prophet Muhammad is inscribed. The work by Pakistani calligrapher whose works are displayed in the largest museums and galleries will be transferred to the collection of the "Kazan Kremlin".

Composite laconicism and oriental patterns distinguish the works by Jamal al-Rabea. Restraint and sentimentality have converged in the work of this calligrapher from Saudi Arabia. His work "And over anyone who knows is even more knowledgeable" (quote from the Holy Quran) will supplement the collection of calligraphic works of the Museum-Reserve.

The works by the designer Mohammed Alkibasi represent a new word in graphically laconic, stylish direction of the search for contemporary calligraphers. Mohammed is the son and continuer of the cause of his father, Jamal al-Rabea. He will present his work "We commanded to do good to your parents".

All these works demonstrate a stylistic variety of calligraphic art.
