At the cinema KHC after V.I. Lenin a retrospective of Alexei Herman's films will be held

Since September 22 and every Saturday at the Kazan cinema KHK after  V.I. Lenin will be shown a retrospective of films dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the outstanding Russian film director Alexei Herman Sr.. The audience will see such full-length pictures as: "It's hard to be a god", "20 days without war", "Check on the roads", "Khrustalev, car", "My friend Ivan Lapshin".

As part of the retrospective, the documentary "Workshop" by Sergey Karandashov will be screened. A film about the debut studio of the experimental film Herman and Karmalita (Studio PiF).

Reference: Aleksey Yurievich German - an outstanding film director, whose films rightfully occupy a significant place in the world cinema. Laureate of numerous film festivals, participant of the Cannes Film Festival, the Festival in Locarno, laureate of national prizes. Work on the last picture of the director "It's hard to be God" took more than 13 years and was finished after the author's death by his son AA Herman and his wife, the permanent co-author S.Karmalita.
