In Kazan, the memory of Musa Jalil and his fellows in arms to be honored
August 25 is a particularly honorable date in the republic: Memorial Day of Musa Jalil and his fellows in arms. In August 1944, Musa Jalil and 10 of his comrades in arms were executed at the Pletzensee prison by the decision of the German Imperial Court: Abdullah Alish, Gaynan Kurmash, Foat Bulatov, Foat Sayfulmulyukov, Garif Shabay, Ahmet Simai, Abdullah Battal, Zinnat Hasanov, Akhat Atnashev, Salim Bukharaev.
In memory of these events on the May 1 Square there will be a traditional rally with a solemn ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to Musa Jalil.
At 13.00 in the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan a concert of vocal-choral music "Moabit's notebook" dedicated to the memory of the poet-hero Musa Jalil will take place.
A musical and poetic composition performed by the Laureates of All-Russian and International Competitions of the Male Choir of the Russian Cultural Center and the Academic Women's Choir "Mechta", Chelyabinsk.
The choir is a national collective and represents the Russian cultural center of Chelyabinsk. Artistic director and conductor, Honored Worker of Culture of Russia - Vladimir Sheremetyev.
Within the framework of the event, the exhibition "Perishing, the hero will not die ..." will work. The photos and documents presented at the exhibition will help to better understand the tragic fate of Musa Jalil.
