The National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan presents museum rarities from the collection of Andrei Fedorovich Likhachev

The National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan is one of the largest and dynamically developing regional museums in Russia, the research and methodological center of the republic. The collection of the museum presents more than 934 thousand items of storage that reflect the uniqueness of the cultural, historical and natural heritage of Tatarstan.

The rich collection of the Kazan collector, archaeologist, historian A.F. Likhachev at the end of the XIX century, the name of the scientist was associated with a rich collection of antiquities related to the history of our region. Andrei Fedorovich collected his collection for more than 30 years, it became the meaning of his entire life.

July 17, 2018 National Museum of Tatarstan is waiting for everyone who wants to plunge into the world of museum rarities from the collection of the outstanding historian, the founder of the museum, Andrei Fedorovich Likhachev.

From 12.00 for the guests there will be organized a thematic excursion "From his name the museum began." The excursion details the biography of A.F. Likhachev and, of course, items from his collection, exhibited in the display  halls of the National Assembly of RT, as well as stored in the funds of the NM RT. After the excursion the guests of the museum will be offered a quest game on the collections of A.F. Likhachev.

In the conference hall of the museum there   will be a fascinating stock display "Collection of porcelain from the collection of A.F. Likhachev. " The event will finish with a master class on medieval technique of coinage.
