Prime Minister of Tatarstan Alexei Pesoshin visited the festival of Russian folklore "Karavon" in the village of Nikolskoye

All-Russian festival of Russian folklore "Karavon" has been  visited by  Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexei Pesoshin.

The "Karavon"   fest traditionally takes place at the Laishevsky district of Tatarstan (the village of Nikolskoye).

Accompanied by  Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova and other guests of the holiday Alexey Pesoshin got acquainted with the folklore, entertaining and information-cognitive areas of "Karavon", talked with the participants of the holiday and representatives of folklore ensembles from different regions of the country.

We remind  that the festival area housed dozens of theatrical, cinematographic, fairground, ritual and gaming pavilions. In the "City of Masters" master classes on handicrafts and folk crafts were organized, as well as a fair-sale of artisans. Folklore collectives were located on a small concert stage, in addition, everyone could take pictures in Russian folk costumes.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan was also told about the history of the holiday and its development. Alexei Pesoshin left an entry in the book of the guests of the Karavona Museum. "A wonderful holiday!" - he wrote. - Successes, energy, embodiment of desires! "

Then a solemn theatrical opening of the XXVI All-Russian Festival of Russian folklore "Karavon" took place.

The "Karavon" is a favorite holiday of the Russian people, which has a long history. Along with Tatar, Mari, Chuvash and other folklore festivals, it occupies a special place in our multinational republic, "said Alexey Pesoshin, speaking to the participants of the event.

Head of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan has  especially stressed that the festival has become a recognized cultural brand of Tatarstan and Laishevsky region.

"For almost 30 years, the village of Nikolskoe has become a meeting place for friends, creative like-minded people." It is very important to introduce youth to the customs of ancestors, to bring people of different nationalities and religions closer together on the basis "We see how every year the glorious family of" Karavon "is replenished," said Alexey Pesoshin.

"It is symbolic that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the creation of the folk folklore ensemble" Karavon. "During this time, several generations and members of the collective have changed, which along with the band's old residents keeps preserving the national culture, customs and rites of the Russian people, "he added.

Alexey Pesoshin read out the greeting  by  Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to the participants of the festival. In particular, Rustam Minnikhanov expressed confidence that in the future "Karavon" will serve to preserve and develop people's traditions, strengthen intercultural relations and unity of the multinational people of Tatarstan.

Tatyana Larionova, Deputy Chairman of the National Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, Metropolitan Feofan of Kazan and Tatarstan, Irina Aleksandrovskaya, deputy chairman of the Council of the Assembly of Peoples of Tatarstan, took part in the Karavon festival.
