May 6, 2017 People's Artist of Russia and Tatarstan, chairman of the Union of Composers of Russia, chairman of the Union of Composers of the Republic of Tatarstan, composer Rashid Kalimullin celebrated his 60th anniversary.

Rashid Kalimullin is a recognized master of orchestral music, a major composer and symphonist. He wrote 13 instrumental concerts, 7 symphonies, individual program symphonic works. His orchestral works are in demand by the best orchestras of Germany, England, the USA, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Israel, Colombia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Russia, and are heard in the most prestigious concert halls in the world.

In 2017, the jubilee events took place at the homeland of the composer in Zelenodolsk (from Vasilyevo) and in Yakutsk, where the premiere of the vocal-choreographic ethno musical "Children of the White Sun" was performed at the State Opera and Ballet Theater (author of the libretto and director - Georgy Kovtun ). In 2018 the composer's compositions will be performed in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Kemerovo, Ufa, and also in Vietnam.

The program of the anniversary concert in Kazan will be composed both of the works that have already become a visiting card of the composer, with great success. having  sounded in many countries of the world - "Symphonic frescoes", Concert for piano and orchestra, so the  premieres of new works - Concert for violin and orchestra, "Forest Tales" for orchestra, "Symphonic Dances", "Tatar Suite".

The concert program will be performed by the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan, art director and chief conductor - Alexander Sladkovsky, at the conductor's desk - Vasily Valitov (Moscow). Famous musicians from Moscow, laureates of prestigious performing international competitions Fedor Amirov (pianoforte), Khayk Kazazyan (violin) will perform as soloists in instrumental concerts.
