The beginning of 2018 at the Elabuga State Museum-Reserve will be marked by a bright event - on January 12 at 13.00 the opening of the renewed Exhibition Hall will take place.
Since September 2017, it has been reconstructed within the national program "5 steps of improvement in single-industry towns." During this time, the basement has been repaired, which now houses a cloakroom for visitors, a new ventilation system has been installed, rooms for storing movable exhibition items have been arranged, a suspended ceiling and an air-conditioning system have been installed. In addition, in both exposition halls there was a track lighting system and a modern suspension system for paintings.
The Renovated Exhibition Hall begins its work with the exposition "My name is Marina", dedicated to the 125th anniversary of M.I. Tsvetaeva. The basis of the exhibition are photographs of Marina Ivanovna herself and her environment from the collections of the State Museum of the History of Russian Literature n.a. V.I.Dal, the Cultural Center "Marina Tsvetaeva's House-Museum" in Moscow, the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art and the Yelabuga State Museum-Reserve.
The life and work of the poet permeates the whole exposition: the photos contain poems, autographs, manuscripts, excerpts from diaries, workbooks, memoirs of close people, and supplement the exposition with aphorisms placed on origami birds and documentary materials about the fate of Sergei Efron's husband and daughter Ariadne.
Visitors of the exposition created a cozy corner where you can sit with Marina Ivanovna's book, read poems and learn about its difficult fate.
Address: st. Kazan, 24.
