December 26 in Kazan the winners of the photo contest "Ethnographic mosaic of the Tatar people" to be announced

On December 26, 2017 at 16.00 in the Tatar State Academic Theater named after G. Kamal the photo exhibition will take place and the winners of the photo contest "Ethnographic mosaic of the Tatar people" will be awarded. The contest is held from 2014 in the framework of the state program "Preservation of the National Identity of the Tatar People (2014-2019)" in the 3 nominations: "Portrait", "Traditions and Rites" and "Folk and Applied Arts".

In 2017, 64 photographers from 15 regions of the Russian Federation took part in the photo contest. A total of 405 works have been  submitted for the competition.

The photo contest is aimed at promoting the traditions and customs of the Tatar people, preserving and developing the national identity of the Tatar people in the Republic of Tatarstan and beyond.
