Young Tatarstan cinematographers started shooting the film "Kire"

With the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan in Kazan, shooting   a full-length feature film "Kire" (in translation from Tat., "Stubborn") has  begun. Actors of the main roles are the Russian actor of theater and cinema, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, one of the founders of the comic theater "Quartet I" Kamil Larin and actor of the Tatar State Academic Theater. G. Kamala, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Fanis Ziganshin.

The theme of the film is the struggle of the main character for the purity of the Tatar language, the search for the Tatar ethnic identity. The film tells about the conflict between the old and the new, which is intertwined in the interrelations of generations, into the language confrontation and manifests itself in sociocultural antagonism.

A creative team of young Tatarstan filmmakers headed by director Rustam Rashitov, who proved himself, thanks to the film "Unsent Letters" (based on the story by Adele Kutuy) takes part in the realization of the film project. The film was awarded a special prize by the Mayor of Kazan at the 13th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival.

The release of the film "Kire" is announced for the summer of 2018.
